We want to ensure that we can answer all your questions as seamlessly as possible so we have provided most of the answers below to our frequently asked questions.

What makes Guzel Dezayns Bed Linen special?

I embarked on a mission to find ethical companies and individually visited factories to find the right partner who shared my core values and ambitions. It was a struggle but I got there. I was very selective and only enlisted those companies that showed significant concern and sensitivity towards environmental issues. Only those that used the most advanced waste water treatment plants and non-hazardous chemicals were considered.

From spending time to understand the process to hand pick quality cotton on the fields, to spending time at the factories, to putting pen to paper to create my own designs, I took care to get all aspects needed right so that my high end luxurious embroidered bedding would not be compromised.

Our Name
Our inspiration for the name of our company is translated from the word ‘beautiful’.

“Guzel” means beautiful and “Dezayns” means designs, combined together it formed Guzel Dezayns - Beautiful Designs!

Thats what we are about!

All the names for our collections are also derived from the word beautiful.

Our Designs
All our designs are exclusively produced in house where we have put pen to paper to create our intricate and timeless designs. We work with a team of skilled artisans who develop and produce our designs with luxury in mind. The designs are simple, yet creative and elegant. We believe that stylish and sophisticated looks are best achieved through simplicity.

Our Colours
Our collection comprises of a three colour palette consisting of white, ivory and grey. These neutral colours were deliberately selected on the basis of modern designs. Each will suit individual modern day requirements and help in creating the perfect relaxing environment in any setting.

Each of the white, ivory and grey collection is complimented with classic silver and gold tone threads to give an elegant look and also a backdrop for contemporary furnishings. These tones mixed with other complementing threads offer an elegant choice for any bedroom’s décor.

What are the Benefits of Guzel Dezayns Bedding?

100% Breathable Cotton
Our cotton is pure, natural and breathable. There are no other fabrics woven into our cotton. It has the ability to transfer moisture away from the skin — on a hot day the cotton will absorb the heat allowing a cool feel — on cooler days, it provides warmth.

Pricing
Our strategy is based on providing luxury at affordable prices.

Thread count 800
Having a thread count of 800 means that the construction of the fabric is stronger which makes it more durable. In the long run this saves on costs. The quality of cotton used coupled with the 800 thread count provides a feel of total softness and smoothness.

Allergy
Cotton is ideal for those prone to allergies and skin irritations. The body does not react adversely to cotton as it might to other non-natural materials. Cotton is a hypoallergenic fabric.

Designing
Our designing is all carried out in house and is uniquely designed for Guzel Dezayns. For an added touch of luxury, we use button enclosures on all our duvets and pillows.

Modern Look
Classic silver and gold tones threads on a white, ivory and silver backgrounds provides a modern touch that can suit any style of contemporary furnishing.

Care Instructions
Simple instructions with no complicated wash methods. Our products are both machine washable and Dry Cleanable. Our products have been laundered over 52 times on a household washing machine to prove quality measure.

Quality Control
All products are inspected at every stage of the production process to meet our standards which are higher than the required European quality standards.

We endeavour to supply the products as soon as possible and will aim to provide an exceptional service befitting the quality and in establishing the brand. Anatomy of our Product

What is the Fabric Composition?
All our bed linen is made from 100% Cotton. This is durable, easy to launder and long lasting. It is renowned for its natural breathability and cool feeling.

What are the Fibres that are Used?
Fibres-Long Staple Cotton
At Guzel Dezayns we only use Long staple Cotton because it produces the longest, strongest and finest cotton fibres.

The longer fibres make a stronger and finer yarn and produce exceptionally smooth and masterly weaves.

What is the Ply?
Ply- Single Ply
We use a single ply yarn to produce the finest and strongest threads for our products. This is only spun from long staple cotton. Many companies use Multi Ply Yarns which are weaker fibres that are twisted together to create a false strength.

What yarn threads used?
Supreme threads-120 Yarn
We use 120 yarn threads. This relates to the number of twists per square inch. The higher the count the more supreme the quality. Most companies use a 20, 40 or 60 yarn count thread. We use the maximum yarn count thread for our supreme quality, look and feel.

What is the Thread Count?
Thread Count- 800
Thread count relates to the number of threads that are woven together in a square inch of fabric. You count both lengthwise (warp) and widthwise (weft) threads. As you increase the thread count the fabric becomes softer and more opaque. Many companies create a false impression of thread count by not only counting each thread but each ply spun together within each thread.

What is the Finishing Used?
Finishing- Imperial Sateen Weave
Our luxurious collection is made from a Sateen Weave. This is more tightly woven and heavier than other weaves which results in a fabric with a silky soft feel and lustrous look. Woven with more left threads on the surface, the construction of the weave is generally four yarns over, one yarn under.

How is the Embroidery Placed?

The Embroidery
All our embroidery is done on Multi Head Embroidery machines. The thread used are all tested for colour fastness and fading. The intricacy of the embroidery is created by weaving over seven hundred thousand stitches per design and with great attention to detail. The embroidery borders are approximately 10 cm in width. The embroidery is carefully set to sit on top of the bed.

What does your Bed Linen Range Include?

Duvet Cover
As the name suggests, this is what is used to cover the duvet. This is an edge to edge seamed cover with fabric covered button enclosures at the bottom. All our duvets come in the sizes specified on the size chart.

Pillow Cases
All our pillow cases are Oxford pillows which have an additional 7 cm flange on the seamed edge. The embroidery on the pillows is 10 cm in width and sits on the seamed edge and follows the contour of the pillow. There are 2 pillow cases in each pack.

Flat Sheets
All our sheets are flat as we believe that we shouldn’t have to struggle to get them over the mattress. Our flat sheets have plenty of room to be tucked under even with thick mattresses with toppers so they are secure and to prevent them from becoming untucked as you sleep. We use the same sheets if you want to use a sheet with a duvet to give your bed a more tailored finish.

How is the Bed linen Packaged?

All our items are packed separately.

All items are packed in Cotton bags in the colour of the bed linen with the design on the front of the bag. The back of the packaging has cotton ties for an added luxury finish.

Is a Gift Box Service available?

To add that extra special finishing touch we offer a Gift Box service. Our premium gift box service is £9.00 per box.

How do I place an order?

You can browse through all our products using the menu button. You can then select the size and the quantity of the items you want and click the “Add to Basket” button. You can continue shopping or checkout.

How to I change or cancel an order?
We tend to process all orders as soon as they are placed so that you receive them quickly. Unfortunately it is not possible to make changes once your order is placed.

Can I make an overseas order?
You can make overseas orders either online or by calling our customer services on +44 7956 821080. Payments are only accepted in sterling. If your credit card is in any other currency, the rate of exchange will be that of your card issuer and you may be charged a fee by them. You will be responsible for any import duties that are charged locally. Delivery charges may vary,but will be calculated according to the weight of the parcel

How Do I Care for Bed Linen?

Cotton is a natural fibre you're so to ensure that it keeps its softness and strength, it is important to take good care of it.

Most of us begin the day in bed and end the day in bed. We spend almost a third of our lives in bed. This is why its important we care for our linens.

All pure cottons shrink after the first wash between 2 to 10%. This can be minimised by always pre washing the cotton in cold water.

Check that you have purchased the correct sizes before opening and washing you're bedding.

We recommend that you read the Care instructions label on each item carefully before washing.

Can you Machine Wash?
Our products can be machine washed as per care label or dry cleaned.

We recommend using a biodegradable detergent or a non biological powder that doesn't contain bleach as this can affect the cotton over time.

We recommend you remove from the washing machine immediately after washing to minimise creases.

Can you Tumble Dry?
Whilst we recommend line drying your cotton bedding, we also recommend tumble drying on a low heat. Once the tumble drying cycle has finished we recommend folding the bed linen carefully so that any flanges and embroidery are lying flat.

How do I Iron the Bed linen?
Linens woven of natural fibres do have a tendency to crease, but they also iron beautifully and last much longer.

How you wash and launder your bed linen can impact the level of creasing. Line drying, rather than tumble drying, will cause far less wrinkles. Smoothing and shaking out your bed linen before hanging it on the washing line will allow it to dry with far less wrinkles. If you choose to iron your bed linen, it is advisable to do so when it is damp, using a steam iron on a warm setting.

We recommend pressing the sheets on the reverse side so that you can smooth the fibres and the original appearance can be restored.

How do I remove Stains?

If possible try and remove stains as soon as you can to stop them from setting in.

How do I remove Blood stains?
These stains would be need to be removed immediately with cold water, otherwise the stain will set.

Lipstick
Wipe off with a clean cloth and rub with a stain remover with a clean cloth and then wash.

How do I remove candle wax?
harden the wax by placing in the fridge/freezer and scrape off the wax

How do I remove Tea/Coffee?
soak in cold water and rinse out

Oil
Saturate the stain with a liquid detergent and wash.

How do you Eliminate Chemical/OEKO TEX 100?

Core Values - Chemical Elimination

The objective of having our products OEKO TEX approved is to be able to offer the customer harmless products tested in line with OEKO TEX.

The tests are carried out by independent textile and test institutes of the OEKO TEX association with proven expertise.

Once a textile has successfully passed the test it may be marked with OEKO TEX labels.

An important consideration for me when selecting yarns and other raw material was to ensure that chemicals were eliminated as much as possible at every stage of the production process.

Therefore, all my products needed to be at a minimum, OEKO TEX certified.

The OEKO TEX Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production. Products are tested for harmful substances including testing for illegal substances, legally regulated substances, known harmful (but not legally regulated) chemicals as well as parameters for healthcare.

OEKO TEX testing methods are based amongst other things on simulation tests which take account the potential ways in which chemicals may be absorbed by the body.

Tests are carried out using an artificial perspiration solution to identify whether and in what way the substance present in the textile may be released following contact with perspiration.

The requirements for OEKO TEX exceeds existing national legislation in the UK, but I felt this was a pre-requisite for my business and my standards.

All components of my products comply with the required criteria without exception, including the outer packaging, threads, labels and buttons.

Do you Use Environmental safety systems?

We ensure that we only work with firms that have environmental safety systems to ensure that all products used do not contain harmful substances. They have been selected on the basis of their advanced treatment plants.

We are dedicated to driving improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in our supply chains. In our commitment to minimising the environmental impact and reducing our carbon footprint we have looked at ethical practices across the supply chain.

We work with firms that provide a pleasant, nurturing and growth orientated environment which encourage employees to be highly productive.

How are your products Labelled?
Textile Labelling
We follow the department of Business Innovation and Skills Textile Labelling.

All our labels comply with European legislation.

How do you maintain quality control?

Quality Control

At Guzel Dezayns we ensure that the quality is inspected throughout the production process. Our products are checked in state of the art testing laboratories.

We personally get involved in checking the quality and do random inspections and site visits.

Which Forms of Payments are Accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, american Express, Paypal and Maestro. We do not acceptVisa Sol or Visa Electron

We take all payments in Pound Sterling (£). Please note that if you are paying with a card with an account in another currency then you may be charged additional usage fees by your bank.

When will my Card be Debited?
Funds may be allocated from your account to ensure they are available when the charge is made. Your card will be charged when we dispatch your items.

Will I pay an additional delivery charge if my order is split?

You will not pay an additional delivery charge if we send your order in 2 different batches.

Returns

What is your returns policy?
You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Your item must be in the original packaging.

Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

How do I return an item?
All our returns are done by post. Your delivery note will have clear return instructions.

Please complete this and enclose it within the parcel.

How do you refund?
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item.

We will immediately initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

How long will it take dealing with Returns?
Once we have received your return we aim to deal with it within 3-5 working days. Please remember that it may take a few days before you see the refund in your account.

How do I Return or Exchange Faulty Items?
Although this is rare, it can happen.

If you have identified the fault within 14 days of purchase can you return the item under normal returns procedures for an exchange or full refund.

We refund any postage on faulty items.
